Translation:

On Christmas Eve all forest animals gathered around the Christmas tree to see its glamour. Just then the most brightest star came down from the sky and settled down on top of the tree. It lightened the whole forest and declared peace all around.

Behind the bushes small goblins adored snow fairies artwork and gave them applause.

Translation:

When people had left the forest started snow fairies their job. In just few moments they had laid the most beautiful ice lace around the tree which now glistened nicely in the darkening night.

Translation:

There they were then, all decorations on the spruce. "Oh, animals will love it!" thought granny and boys in unison.  Rabbits, squirrels, mooses and deers, foxes and bears and all birds, welcome to celebrate Christmas!

Translation:

Boys and Greta crafted the whole afternoon 'till they had enough garnishments for the spruce. With the decorations they went back  to the forest and started to decorate the tree.

Translation:

There were straws, carrots, gingerbreads and apples... Everything that wasn't harmful for animals if they happened to take a bite. Let's start crafting!

Translation:

Everyone got into the house and boys started to tell about their plans to their grandma. Greta was excited about their plan and soon they had lots of different kind of crafting articles on the table.

Translation:

Seth and Sam got back at the house where Greta already waited for them. She had gotten a bit worried even though she knew that boys  wouldn't have gone too far.

Translation:

Twins and Amanda continued to walk. They came to a clearing where grew a beautiful spruce in the middle. Boys got an idea - let's make a Christmas tree for forest animals!

Boys could also hear a woodpecker knocking on a tree trunk above and little birds chirping in the bushes.

Translation:

And yes there were! Hares' paw prints crisscrossed here and there. A roe deer had walked past too. Suddenly something came down from the nearest tree. Seemingly it was a cone which a nasty squirrel had thrown at boys.

Translation:

At the forest edge boys stopped. There the wind was nearly unnoticeable and it was more quiet. Boys decided to see if there were any traces of animals there.

Translation:

Seth took the sled and asked his brother to hop on. The puppy jumped into Sam's arms. Seth started to run and pull the sled. It was tough because of all the snow and running made Seth's cheeks go red.

Old skiis rested against the house's wall, keeping company to a wooden sled. Boys wondered if granny Greta used it to carry the logs to the house.

Finally boys had enough warm clothes on and they could go out to play. Amanda followed them eagerly. Oh, how fun they had! The cold breeze howled around them but it didn't stop the fun.

Indoors kids started to clothe themselves. Amanda the puppy hustled around them and started playfully to tug their sleeves and pant legs. It made Seth and Sam laugh out loud.

Also Chilly the cat lived in the barn. It couldn't have had a better and safer place to live really. Greta gave it warm milk everyday and it could nap in a soft straw bed all day.

Where had granny gone? When kids looked around they saw foot prints in the snow. Those led straight to the barn. Of course, granny was feeding her dear animals!

Translation:

Soon two children appeared to the window. They were peeking curiously outside but there weren't much to see, just snow, snow and more snow. They were Greta's grandchildren, twins Seth and Sam. They had come to help their granny with Christmas preparations. Together they had made gingerbreads and other Christmasy dishes.

Translation:

Granny Greta's tiny red house stood in the middle of snowy scenery. It was like confronting the cold winter breeze which was blowing its icy breath all around and making everything glisten.
